Project Work

New builds and staged commercial projects with one certifying electrician from design to handover. We can design and construct from a brief or install to your drawings, align to your program, and hand over the documents that make the certifier sign-off painless.

Scope

What this job includes.

  • New builds and staged commercial projects
  • Design and construct from a brief, or install to plans
  • One certifying electrician across the whole job
  • Staged works and live-site cutovers without downtime
  • As-builts, Certificates of Compliance and O&M manuals at handover
Our system: One certifying electrician owns the compliance from design to handover, so there are no gaps in the CoC and no orphaned circuits. You get as-builts and test results, not a guess about what is in the wall.
How we quote it

The same scope sheet, every time.

Whatever the job, your quote shows the load calc, the cable sizing and the compliance, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

The scope and compliance sheet
  1. 1 Load calculation. Your actual demand worked out and shown, not a system size guessed off the roof.
  2. 2 Cable sizing + run length. Sized for the inverter or charger and the distance, not the cheapest roll on the van.
  3. 3 Switchboard assessment. Spare capacity, RCD and surge protection, fault level. Checked before anything is added.
  4. 4 System sized to your bill. Solar and battery sized to your usage and load profile, not to the headline rebate.
  5. 5 Make + model, named. The exact panel, inverter, battery or charger on the quote, not "good panels".
  6. 6 Warranties, itemised. Product, performance and workmanship listed separately with their years, so you can compare like for like.
  7. 7 Compliance paperwork. CES, Certificate of Compliance and as-builts named as deliverables, plus STCs handled and shown as a line.
If a quote does not show these lines, you cannot compare it, and you do not know what has been cut.
How it runs

What happens, step by step.

1

Site + load assessment

We measure the load, read the switchboard, check supply and phase, and look at roof or cable routes.

2

Design + scope sheet

You get the load calc, cable sizing, the named equipment and an itemised quote. The workings are on the page.

3

Contract + schedule

Fixed scope, STCs and rebates shown as a line, a start date that fits your trading or build program.

4

Install

Licensed install to AS/NZS 3000, staged around live sites and tenants where needed.

5

Test + certify

Every circuit tested, RCDs proven, Certificate of Compliance issued. Solar and battery commissioned and monitored.

6

Handover + docs

As-builts, test results, warranties, monitoring set up, and a walk-through of how it runs.

Licensed, covered, warranted

The paperwork behind the price.

EC-00000 (DEMO), CEC A0000000 (DEMO), Public liability to $20M, and a 10-year workmanship workmanship warranty. All in writing, all on the quote.

Marcus walks through exactly what is covered: the licence and CEC accreditation you can verify, the cover that protects your site, and the warranty that names its own exclusions instead of hiding them.

The licence, the cover, the warranty, and how to check each one.

Questions, answered

Common Project Work questions.

Can you act as the single certifying electrician for the project? +
Yes, and it is how we prefer to work. One certifying electrician across the job means the compliance is owned end to end, the Certificates of Compliance line up, and nothing falls between subbies. It is the single biggest thing that makes a clean handover.
Do you provide as-builts and O&M manuals? +
Yes, as standard. At handover you get marked-up as-built drawings, the test results, the Certificates of Compliance and an O&M manual. The next electrician, and the building owner, can see exactly what was installed and where.
Can you design and construct, not just install to plans? +
Yes. We can take a brief and produce the design, the load calcs and the documentation, or we can build to a consultant drawing set. Either way the design responsibility and compliance sign-off are clear from the start.
How do you handle staged works and live-site cutovers? +
We plan the stages around your program and your trading, and cut over live sections out of hours or in isolated steps so the site keeps running. The method statement and the isolation plan are agreed before we touch a live board.
Will you align to our construction program and other trades? +
Yes. We program our works to the builder schedule, coordinate rough-in and fit-off with the other trades, and flag long-lead items like switchboards and supply upgrades early so they do not hold up the job.
Who carries design responsibility and compliance sign-off? +
We make it explicit on every project. Where we design and construct, we carry the design responsibility and the certifying sign-off. Where we build to others plans, we certify the installation and flag any design issue we find before it is built in.
